Providing key analysis and data to make informed design decisions for Zoox's first ground-up vehicle for Autonomous Ride Sharing.

Improving the capabilities of OpenVSP with the addition of a parasite drag build up and transonic drag rise module to be included in a future release of the software. As well as improve the capabilities of the mass properties tool to correctly handle coordinate transformations and estimations for mass build ups of a theoretically designed aircraft within OpenVSP through mathematical tessellation. Assisted in the advancement of future preliminary aircraft design tools. Improved ESAeros' internal code, P.A.N.T.H.E.R., which takes user designed electric propulsion architecture and computes and outputs the performance characteristics of the given architecture with a focus on distributed electric propulsion. In tandem with these improvements, an exhaustive testing of provided models was performed.

Helped coordinate the successful (3rd place) response to the AIAA Student Competition RFP among a team of 6 peers by executing a detailed analysis into the performance capabilities, such as the time variant, peak performance altitude, of a C-5A replacement. Utilizing MATLAB, several preliminary sizing methods were used to help create an automated design process with as few "man-in-the-loop" sections as possible.Professionally presented our design to several companies, such as Boeing and Northop Grumman throughout the design process to garner feedback and incorporate it into the next iteration of our design.
