Coordinator for the 3EA (Education in Emergencies - Evidence for Action) initiative funded by Dubai Cares. I was the liaison between primary parties - IRC Education, IRC Research Evaluation & Learning, NYU Global Ties for Children and IRC country offices, ensuring program design, implementation and rigorous impact evaluations were all aligned. I focused on supporting the implementation of M&E systems and evaluation frameworks for operations in Sierra Leone, Niger and Lebanon.

Completed first hand data collection, data analysis and final reports for the Light Years Ahead midline assessment that brings clean cookstoves, solar lanterns and solar lamps to Darfuri refugee camps in eastern Chad.Completed data analysis and final report for the baseline assessment of an artisan programme supporting Malian refugees in Burkina Faso. Supported the design and testing of the "UNHCR Operational Guidelines on Monitoring Energy Programmes", including indicator development, implementation tools and overall framework for monitoring energy programmes.

Provided support in the programmatic design of the Vodafone Instant Network School program in Dadaab, Kenya - as well as contributed to the design of a Monitoring and Evaluation framework.Contributed and supported various initiatives and studies conducted by UNHCR Innovation. Projects included: the Young Change Makers Program - a program targeting refugee youth with training and mentorship to enable the creation and implementation of solutions to local challenges; as well as revisions to a Harvard University assessment on the Education units of several UNHCR country offices.Co-facilitated a Design Thinking workshop in Amman, Jordan with various stakeholders in the Middle East who are working in the education field with Syrian refugees. The workshop focused on the use of Technology for Education. (October 20-23rd, 2014)

Managed all research activities conducted by the Africa regional office - including several projects in the labour sector in South Africa as well as education sector in Tanzania.Developed research protocols resources relevant to all J-PAL Research Assistant (project managers).Carried out all relevant duties as Interim Executive Director for a period of 6 months.

Cambridge, Massachussets

Managed large scale impact evaluations in Kenya (fertilizer distribution), Rwanda (coffee farming) and India (microfinance). Duties included managing all data collection and data management.Facilitated start up of new studies by bringing Academics and Researchers together to rigorously test poverty alleviating programs and innovations.Developed resources and systems to improve work productivity and knowledge sharing for IPA/J-PAL field-based Researchers.Participated as a teaching assistant for a customized training event at CIMMYT, Mexico. (2010)Participated as a panelist at Kumvana National Conference 2011 hosted by EWB - Canada's largest development conference.

Monrovia, Liberia

Conducted all field work on a randomized evaluation for a JPC/UNHCR Peace Education program in 240 of Liberia's most conflict-prone communities to determine the effectiveness of the program. The study was led by Professor Chris Blattman from the University of Columbia.Conducted all field work for a randomized evaluation on an ex-combatant reintegration program evaluation carried out by Land Mine Action. Bangalore, India

Carried out all fieldwork activities for a study to determine the role the social networks in the diffusion of microfinance. Principle Investigators on the project were Esther Duflo and Abhijit Banerjee of MIT.
