I was the lead developer and mentor on a web-based application for financing origination called TransACTION. This application is used by both internal staff as well as truck dealers across the U.S. and Canada. The project included a complete re-write of the system from scratch and I was involved throughout the entire life cycle. The application is written using compiled components that communicate with ASP via XML and XSL, with JavaScript and XSL/XSL on the client and an Oracle database on the backend. TransACTION also includes an "on-the-fly" language-swapping feature that uses XML, XSL and data islands. I also wrote two .NET applications for internal usage that use XML to maintain specific parts of the TransACTION application including creating and updating components in COM+. While at Volvo, I worked on two other projects that converted old VB 6.0 and legacy ASP applications to .NET. Technologies used: ASP, VB 6, Oracle, PL/SQL, VB.NET, IIS, ASP.NET, XML, XSLT, JavaScript.
