About Bryan Jung
I have been working the facilities side of manufacturing for 6+ years at Intel Corporation as a self-guided Industrial Engineer. I most recently oversaw our parts management team as the Oregon Maintenance Repair and Operations site champion. Through a combination of data analytics, leadership, and cross discipline support, I provided part usage data, asset maintenance history, and technician allocation data to my end customers. In my previous role at Intel, I created custom reports and reviewing maintenance procedures with system owners in search of streamlining opportunities. My time in the field paired with data backed process improvement studies has well rounded out my experience with commercial buildings and around large-scale engineering operations. Outside of work, I like to go fishing, camping, or just get lost somewhere in the mountains with the dogs.Having recently completed my master's as an IE, I am seeking to move closer towards the hands-on side manufacturing side and best apply my skillset and background. I enjoy learning new things while connecting with people across a range of industries. Td Facilties Engineer - Industrial Engineer
I was the Maintenance Repair and Operations (MRO) Site Champion for the Intel Ronler Acres site. I directly supported the on site parts team manager and was the parts SPOC for Intel factory repair operations. The MRO program supported distribution of $9.6M in inventory to technicians. I drove continuous program improvements, trained and educated technicians on part usage business processes, and how to navigate Maximo. I maintained Power BI dashboards tracking parts usage, spends, and available inventories. To grow our local program, I pushed to expand our warehousing footprint by 10x with minimal budget. I also supported the addition of small chemicals and reagents to the program, critical spare parts for the Oregon site, and enabled parts sharing across virtual factory sites.I took over as golf cart program owner, and standardized the existing golf cart repair program for the 101 Intel owned carts. I implemented a trade-in program for aging equipment, researched vendors and negotiated replacement cart pricing and accessories while navigating pandemic lead times. I created assets and uploaded each to our Maximo database for maintenance tracking. Finally I rolled out a GPS tracking program to monitor asset usage, cart battery health, reduce technician ergonomic concerns, and deter malpractice. Overall fleet est. value at $1.1M.As part of the High Precision Maintenance Systems team I leveraged Maximo to develop custom reports via SQL and drove facility Plan Of Record asset cleanup efforts, process improvements. I also mentored our Oregon State MECOP interns and additional team IE.IE Process improvement projects included working with the Ultra-Pure Water group to streamline reverse osmosis membrane maintenance procedures and supporting the Mechanical Exhaust group in streamlining their fan and scrubber maintenance procedures to reduce tech field time. Findings led to design revisions applied to future equipment.
Facilities Engineer (Operations Support)
I authored application business processes and developed troubleshooting response flow checklists for a factory utility automation tool in AutoCAD. I then coordinated runs of the tool with Intel's layout industrial engineers and site integration managers. I created models for all 6 Oregon factories by layout package, my findings were used to reduce project engineering field time and expedite tool layout movements and facilities operations. I also supported the pilot roll out for Arizona factories. The application enabled cost savings of up to $5.6M by optimizing shortest utility line lengths for their newest factory at the time.System Stretch Effort: Initially led the Oregon campus effort to audit all major mechanical utility systems, compiled findings, and made all database changes. I repeated the data validation effort for Arizona, Ireland and Israel utility systems data and compared my findings against Intel master database standards. The total cost avoidance for Intel approached $100M.AMR Site Infrastructure support: I performed capacity analysis forecasting for corporate services factory layouts via Excel. This data was used to identify utility project scope needs and capacity improvements providing our project engineers with direction. Our impact analyses provided industrial layout engineering with tool impact data. I provided scope and cost need data to our stakeholders and upper management.Facilities data tracker, field auditing: I combed through Intel design databases and archives to update utility reference drawings. I managed two contractors who assisted with my field audit work and reported back their findings to me for summarizing. I submitted drawing updates weekly and made manual database updates daily.
Tool Install Central Engineering Intern
Summer internship, Central Tool Install group: Reviewed process maps and procedures tied to the planning of install of Intel’s wafer manufacturing tools, support systems, and utility routings. Provided process step recommendations to streamline flow of information.
Bandsaw Manufacturing - Engineering Intern
I spent the summer and beginning fall semester of my Junior year at WPI interning with Simonds International in Fitchburg MA. I was responsible for conducting research on machine parts and equipment prototype components, extensive new product endurance/destructive testing, and studying product failures to improve quality. I tested weld strength of carbide saw teeth, designed, prototyped and modified current microscope vision systems for quality control on ball and cylinder welders. Last, I conducted field observation studies and created work instructions for 4 different manufacturing processes.
Lifeguard
I spent my second summer working with scouts and scoutmasters on the waterfront of Camp Fiesta Island. I taught aquatics based merit badges such as motorboating, canoeing, rowing, and general life guarding.
Store Clerk
I spent my first summer after high school at Camp Fiesta Island working our camp general store. I was responsible for stocking snacks, drinks, and cleaning the camp store along with running the cash register.
