I had the privilege of organizing two musical productions in partnership with Youth First Texas. I have arranged and composed several pieces of music as well, including my latest suite, "Songs from the Heart."

Originally my position helping the youth chorus was a secondary role, as I began helping Jonathan Palant with the resident youth chorus. Eventually, I donated piano and voice lessons from my home music studio for members of the youth group. Palant left at the end of 2009 as did many individuals integral to the youth's success. We raised money for Dallas Children's Hospital and donated a Winter Solstice Concert in December 2010. While I was in charge of the music department, I started a musical recital in the fall of 2010 and invited students from my home studio to also participate. Establishing contact with the volunteer organization, PROBelize; I lived with a host family in the Cayo District and helped to evaluate the effectiveness of their Anti-Malarial Campaign. I also helped to quantify research findings from surveys administered by the University of North Carolina's Public Health Program.

In tandem with my master's practicum, I had the opportunity to work with the CCST Reservation youth group's "Peers Helping Peers Program," established in 2004 by the Tribal Council as a way to combat the ideologies of suicidal behavior permeating Reservation members. In my project design I compared and contrasted three groups of youth based on their exposure to the program's theories. In 2004, the Antioch Foundation sent funds to build a kitchen/cafeteria for the remodeling project of the Christian School and Father's House Orphanage. In 2005, I got to visit KCC complex as the youth minister intern for summer camp. During the following summer of 2006, I had the opportunity to fill my missionary internship class credit in the thesis I prepared while a student at Dallas Christian College.

I was employed at the Tara Inn during high school and while I took care of the pool, I also was a bell-hop for touring buses. Becky Braden was the best boss ever and my own dad was a huge help to me. After I was hired at the Tara, I began auditioning for musical shows in Branson. Whenever I was needed for performances, my Dad delivered luggage in my absence. Thanks to my Dad and the employee standards of the Tara, I in fact learned to provide, "authentic, southern hospitality with a smile."
