• Utilize knowledge of ICD-10 codes to correctly transcribe faxed information from Doctors office’s in order to process Prior Authorization requests.• Create Prior Authorizations for a wide range of controlled and non-controlled medications. • Process over 1,000 faxed Prior Authorization forms per week to ensure they are sent to either the Medicare or Commercial department for further investigation. • Provide insurance processing information to various pharmacies and physicians offices. • Connect with various departments in the company to determine if we need further information from the physician to authorize particular medications. • Set-up overrides in proprietary software once medication has been approved so that our members can get the medication they request.• Reach out when necessary to physicians for further information while abiding by all HIPAA rules and regulations.
