Mr. Bryant C. Williams is from Indianapolis, Indiana. He is a Purdue University undergraduate alumnus with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. While an undergraduate student, Mr. Williams was a member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Lafayette, and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. While in his undergraduate career Mr. Williams was a co-op intern for Whirlpool Corporation in Spring 2008, an intern for Hill’s Pet Nutrition in the Summer of 2009 and an intern for Colgate-Palmolive in Summer 2010.Upon graduation, Mr. Williams joined Colgate-Palmolive as a Global Supply Chain Rotational Associate which gave him the experience over the course of a year to work in three areas of supply chain: Logistics, Procurement and Manufacturing. After completion of the program, Mr. Williams had received the opportunity to join the Hill's Pet Nutrition division of the company to work as a Team Leader in a brand new manufacturing facility. The challenges he was faced with were to focus on increasing production volumes, achieving target asset utilization percentages, expanding the SKU portfolio, minimizing packaging/processing yield as well as bringing in brand new employees to work together to reach a common goal.After a little more than a year, Mr. Williams switched gears and took up an opportunity with General Mills in Northern Illinois working as a Team Leader there. Now currently residing in Rockford, IL, Mr. Williams brings his broad stroke of knowledge in manufacturing in to the ever growing and fast-paced General Mills-Green Giant Team.Mr. Williams says that if he could give one piece of advice to aspiring young individuals he would say, “Be courageous in all your work – never be afraid to challenge the norm or the status quo and speak your mind. The moment you become complacent is the moment you’ve given up; Always stay hungry.”
