Ensure new employees were familiar and trained before using all equipment. Ensure paperwork including incident reports sent in a timely manner. Process new hire paperwork and process urinalysis to be sent off for testing. Daily hot work, confined space permits signed off and checking in on them every hour as I do my walks through the site, looking and inspecting any and every contractor on site making sure they all were abiding by osha and site rules and regulations. Process all write ups and assort by contractor and severity. When it came down to a termination we also walked the individuals off site and gathered site and parking passes. Trained In site investigation and record keeping when incidents happened onsite.

I was responsible for prepping mercury tank tops to be painted by laying stripper and using scrappers, chipping , and sometimes power tools. To be on this site I had to pass Radcon 1&2. JHA’s every morning with morning stretches and mercury readings for entry, radcon dress out before entry, trained hazardous chemicals, and health and vitals to look for In your entry partner.

On this job I was responsible for applying fireproofing putty material in penetration through walls running conduit, and conveyer sleds. I was also running our blast shop on occasion for the iron workers blasting I beams for them to fly up, after installation I would go up in a JLG and spray joints with Zinc to prevent moisture from intrusion.JHA’s , safety meetings every morning and at lunch, wear proper PPE for blast shop and site. Also had monthly meeting for safety committee meetings.

I was responsible for sanding, prepping, different surfaces such as sheet rock walls, and concrete walls, We also were on pipes stripping and recoating. At this time I was In the Painters Union so I was moved around from SRS and Vogtle based on where they needed us at the time.Daily JHA’s , safety meetings, and SDS for certain chemicals we used as strippers.

I was a apprentice scaffold carpenter for local 283 In Augusta, Ga. I was responsible for building, modifying, and demolishing scaffolds for other trades such as iron worker, welders, etc at plant vogtle and srs (savanna river site) Daily JSA’s , safety meetings, proper PPE.

I was responsible for unloading / loading trucks with tires, using my stand up fork lift to put tires up in the shelf’s until they are ready to be shipped out, and also responsible for labeling and sorting tires to the correct location.

Within three months of learning each station of the assembly line, I ended up learning the entire line and all sub parts and promoted to floater. My job was to walk up and down the line and if there was a gap in the line I was responsible to find out what the problem was fix it and keep the line moving.
