The Million Dollar Round Table is an organisation reserved for the top 5% of Advisers around the world. I have been fortunate enough to not only be initiated into this group, but also to be appointed to the position of Southern Area Chair, looking after the South Island’s arm of the organisation. Using the experience I have gained in this industry over the length of my career, I volunteer my time to help other Advisers, or related parties, with any questions they have about or related to the MDRT and generating interest about the group with my peers.One of the main questions I field is how do we grow our New Zealand membership within this global group? I play my part by identifying other Advisers whose activity qualifies them for membership and encourage them to join. The end goal for me is to help as many people as I can benefit from the invaluable experience I have been exposed to by being part of this fantastic organisation.

I originally started my journey with Lifetime based in the Nelson. After three years working within the city and surrounding regions I transferred to head office in Christchurch where I have been since, but I maintain a large client base up there as well as throughout New Zealand. My clients are made up of individuals, couples and families of all age groups and backgrounds but generally they fall into two major categories: - 25-45 year olds progressing through major milestones in their lives which also represent significant financial obligations such as buying a first home, starting a family or opening a business.- 50+ year olds who are looking for efficient tailoring of their cover and cost effective premiums.I am extremely experienced in helping with both categories of clients, as well as those who fall outside of these specifications, and enjoy the process of finding personal and/or business insurance solutions that meet their specific needs. Committed to the lifespan of their policies I also take pride in tailoring these with them over time.Due to the close nature of the relationships I have with my clients, I am also very committed to ensuring the best outcome should claim time arise.My areas of specialty are:- Personal Insurance including: Life; Health; Trauma; Total Permanent Disability; and Disability Income Protection.- Business Insurance including: Key Person Protection; and Shareholder Protection.- Rural Insurance: Insurances designed specifically for those own and/operate a farm or rural property.

Beginning my career in Financial Services and Insurance, I took on the role of Territory Representative for Combined Insurance.I had two main responsibilities - the development of my territory, which included wider-Christchurch and the West Coast, and the management of my sales team. I encouraged the best performance from the team by providing ongoing training and education, support and mentoring. I was able to develop the region by identifying and exploring new opportunities for Combined and maintaining the business we already had in the area.In recognition of the contribution I made over my time with the company I was fortunate enough to receive many awards, but the greatest achievement I had was watching my staff progress from rep to management level under my guidance.
