I have been immersed in technology my entire life. Whether it was looking over my mom’s shoulder while she worked at Microsoft or learning HTML on Notepad and Dreamweaver in high school, or learning computer logic and C++ in the Marine Corps, technology has always been a part of my journey. To this day, I continually strive to expand my knowledge of new technologies and programming languages in the field of software engineering.Speaking of the Marine Corps, I am a Marine Corps veteran. I served for 8 years as an Aviation Operations Specialist, during which I spent 3.5 years in the Middle East. In my role, I was responsible for utilizing complex systems to track and ensure the reliability and operability of every component on multiple Marine Corps fixed-wing aircraft.As a Non-Commissioned Officer and Operations Chief, I was trained to proficiently lead a team of 11 Marines in accomplishing our mission. I assessed the strengths and weaknesses of my team members and delegated tasks and responsibilities to optimize efficiency in achieving our goals.Looking forward, being a proficient software engineer is just one of my goals.
