What does being a Pilot in the RAAF and Program Director have in common? Leading a team to solve problems in a dynamic and challenging environment to achieve a successful outcome. It was critical for me to maximise the skills and capability of the team as a Pilot in the RAAF which has made the transition to Program Management so successful for me and the clients I have delivered for.My philosophy in Program delivery is the journey is as important as the destination. I like to ensure the team and stakeholders of the Program are taken on the journey as this ensures a much better outcome when you arrive at the destination.What motivates me? Continually taking on new challenges and overcoming obstacles to successfully deliver the outcomes being sought by stakeholders as is evidenced by the variety of projects I have delivered. I have a track record of success as a Program Director with a unique set of leadership and problem solving skills gained through an Electrical Engineering degree, a Master’s degree in Management Economics and a career in the Australian Defence Force.
