Project:Design and assembly of a 19F/1H MRI Parallel-Plate Transmitter (PPT) in quadrature at 7TResponsibilities:Conducted literature reviews and wrote thesis for Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship: awarded $5000 of funding (4/2016). Simulated and optimized MRI radiofrequency coils using FEKO EM Software Tool. Designed and built matching circuits for a PPT and ran power reflection simulations in MATLAB. Analyzed results of simulations and submitted evaluations of data for mentioned fellowship. Passaged, stored, and tested various cell lines, i.e. HEK293 and MIN6. Worked with mice for in vivo studies and performed perfusion fixations. Contributed to and edited research papers and grant submissions, second author on a paper the lab is preparing to publish involving possible effects of antipsychotic drugs on neurogenesis in the adult mouse brain.
