School of Medical Imaging (Radiography) -Ensure the day-to-day delivery of the program to meet all school policy guidelines and procedures. -Clinical site acquisition assistance/participation-Management and oversight of all instructors in their didactic and/or clinical roles. -Primary responsibilities include curriculum design, instruction, student evaluation, academic advising, program administration and assessment, and oversight of clinical coordinators and other program faculty. -Teach and develop the curriculum. -Knowledgeable about advances in their disciplines, in learning theory, and in pedagogy. -Faculty portfolios include contributions and program development and show evidence of ongoing professional development. -Day/Evening classes may be scheduled based on department needs. -Teach courses over an academic year in accordance with established course outline. -Provide resource and coaching to students as needed. -Formulate and participate in the development and the assessment of student learning outcomes (SLOs). -Participate in professional development activities and maintain current knowledge in the academic field. -Develop and update department course curricula and course’s syllabi. -Develop resources, materials, and strategies, including using multimedia technology platforms to teach students in a multicultural environment. -Active involvement in campus responsibilities (accreditation). -Teach theory, laboratory, and/or clinical components of different radiologic technology courses. -Assist in developing new courses curricula. -Develop supplementary materials and incorporate instructional technology to complement textbooks, other published materials, and lecture presentations.

-Measure and monitor radiation waste (radionuclide) from compactor and dumpster trucks on a weekly basis or when needed. -Utilize Ludlum Model 375 digital area monitor. Check the compactor bin on all sides at three feet from the surface of truck. Monitor”hot spots” around truck. Label bin if necessary with warning label and/or draw “X” on bin if detected a “hot spot”. -Notify the Radiation Safety Office/Officer or immediate supervisor of the incident as soon as possible. -Record the number of “hot spots” that were identified during the compactor bin monitoring and initial in logbook. Same steps above apply to monitoring dumpster truck.
