I love helping people!Insurance is truly my niche. In the early 2000's, I graduated with a degree in corporate finance, becoming an accountant and revenue analyst. Though the job was rewarding, I didn't feel it was my niche. Upon relocating back to my hometown, I took on a variety of contract positions to find my niche, as the job market was competitive. I finally found my career focus when I was hired as a Service Analyst for Farmer's Insurance Group. I worked in the position enthusiastically and successfully for 5 years, until the company restructured, downsizing well over 11% of its workforce. Customer Care : In my role, I worked with customers remotely. Often, they needed support interpreting policy coverages prior to filing a claim. This afforded me the chance to provide customer support in ways that helped customers feel supported. 2.) Cross-functionality : In the course of my tenure, I have worked closely with a number of comparable, corresponding departments, such as claims and underwriting, gaining invaluable insight and experience into how these departments operate.3.) Database Management: My insurance experience has introduced me to in-depth experience working with database management systems, such as SalesForce CRM, which tracks customer profiles and activity. This database system allows me to run reports, access claims activity and present data driven activity that supports underwriting decisions.With the advent of climate change, insurance underwriting, claims, regulations and overall policy structure will shift, and companies will need experienced professionals, such as myself, to help leverage customer support and changes in policy structure.
