Fort Mcnair, Washington, Dc

Directs/advises 44 Air Force Students (active, guard, reserve and civilian) and 7 Air Force Faculty in rigorous Master of Science in National Security Strategy and Joint Professional Military Education II. Instructs core national security strategy courses including Strategic Leadership, Global and Domestic Context, Statecraft, and the year-long regional/country study with field studies and international travel.

Aviano Air Base, Italy

Supports the commander to lead 4 groups, 20 squadrons and 17 wing staff agencies to support U.S. European and African Command and NATO tasks. Flying the only permanently assigned U.S. Air Force fighter aircraft in NATO's southern region, the wing conducts and supports combat air operations and maintains munitions for NATO. The wing has approximately 4,200 active-duty military members, nearly 300 US civilians and 600 Italian civilian employees with a total population of over 9,100. The wing's mission is driven by two combat-ready F-16CM Fighting Falcon fighter squadrons and one air control squadron, as it prepares to beddown two rescue squadrons.

Pentagon

Highly-demanding Force Protection Division Chief within the Protection Division of the Joint Staff’s Directorate for Force Structure, Resources and Assessment (J8). In this capacity, my team supported the Deputy Director for Force Protection in conducting capability gap assessments, analyzing joint warfighter solutions, and developing joint requirements across the integrated air and missile defense, chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense, and protection portfolios. Additionally, this position was responsible for leading the Protection Functional Capabilities Board, bringing the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Office of the Secretary of Defense and the National Guard Bureau together, as part of the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System. Certified in the Joint Requirements Process and received Joint Credit as a Joint Qualified Officer in this position.

Ft Mcnair, Washington, Dc

An incredible year of learning at Eisenhower School and National Defense University with an emphasis on national security strategy and the challenges to resource it given the current deficit and national debt (and Budget Control Act). The Eisenhower School's challenging curriculum of economics, strategic leadership, military strategy and logistics, national security studies, acquisition, industry analytics, defense resourcing, regional security studies (North Africa and the Levant) greatly prepared me for Joint Staff and Air Force leadership positions. Additionally, I pursued in-depth studies in consequence management, weapons of mass destruction, and the electronics industry to ensure America retains its status a world leader in security, defense and capitalism.

Adana, Turkey

Led a team of 70 military and civilian professionals to provide 24/7 airfield management, air traffic control, weapons range coordination, intelligence and weather support to operations in Turkey, NATO and overseas contingency operations.

Aviano Air Base, Italy

Assisted the 555 FS commander in overseeing F-16CM flying operations, deployment planning, scheduling, standardization and evaluation and training. Earned 4-ship flight lead and NATO Bomb Commander qualifications before accepting assignment to Incirlik; continued to fly with 31st Fighter Wing through March 2012.

Pentagon

Two outstanding years working in SAF/LL, building relationships on Capitol Hill and supporting two incredible AF budgets. The first year was exciting to justify the purchase of the F-22A and the F-35A in addition to upgrades to our 4th generation fleet of fighters and inventory of precision munitions. The second year stretched me to learn the intricacies of airlift, air refueling, personnel recovery and special operations with successful acquisitions of the KC-46 and HH-60 replacement, as well as modernizations of the C-5M and AC/HC/MC/C-130.

Capitol Hill

One of nine hand-picked Air Force officers to serve on Capitol Hill as an Air Force Fellow (to receive Intermediate Developmental Education credit). Filled the Military Legislative Assistant role for U.S. Representative, covering Department of Defense, Department of Energy and Department of Veterans Affairs issues and correspondence. Member served as Chairman of the Budget Committee and Vice Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee. Oversaw many successful authorizations and appropriations for DOD, service members and veterans in 2007.

Langely Afb, Virginia

High-octane 2.5 years of service to the Commanders of Air Combat Command. Completed Joan Detz’ speech-writing school prior to holding positions of speech-writer and legislative liaison for the commander and vice commander. Developed positions and priorities for COMACC, then translated his guidance into Vision and Mission Statements and Objectives for command and control, fighter, bomber and ISR forces, munitions and their planned upgrades. Selected for deployment as Officer in Charge of Kabul Area Control Center at Kabul International Airport to deconflict commercial traffic from combat operations.

Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina

Three great years at Shaw AFB, South Carolina flying the Block 50 F-16CJ and leading a highly-motivated team to new heights. During this assignment, I upgraded to instructor pilot, evaluation pilot and mission commander with the 55th Fighter Squadron and served as Chief of Scheduling, Flight Commander and Assistant Director of Operations. Led Operation Noble Eagle missions (homeland defense) and deployed to Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabia (Operation Southern Watch) and Incirlik Air Base, Turkey (Operation Northern Watch) enforcing the no-fly zones over Iraq.

Pentagon

One of 50 Air Force captains selected for high-level learning at the Pentagon. Assigned to this highly competitive 22-month opportunity to serve on the Secretary of the Air Force's Action Group and the J-33/Joint Operations Division (EUCOM) with Joint Staff National Military Command Center experience, all while pursuing and earning a Master's Degree in Organizational Management at George Washington University (Summa Cum Laude).

Moody Afb, Georgia

2.5 great years in South Georgia proving the Air Force's Rapid Air Expeditionary Force. Deployed short-notice to Shaikh Isa, Bahrain and Al Jaber, Kuwait. Upgraded to 4-ship flight lead and flew Operation Southern Watch missions in Iraq. Built training plan for 24-PAA squadron to ensure its 36 pilots were mission ready and available for world-wide combat tasking.

Kunsan Ab, Republic Of Korea

Top Gun in RTU, selected for remote assignment to Kunsan as F-16 pilot/leader. Supported weapons officer with F-16 combat attacks and war plans for 35-person squadron. Flew 10 P-518 close air support missions in the demilitarized zone and earned top wingman accolades. Push it up!
