An incredible year of learning at Eisenhower School and National Defense University with an emphasis on national security strategy and the challenges to resource it given the current deficit and national debt (and Budget Control Act). Three great years at Shaw AFB, South Carolina flying the Block 50 F-16CJ and leading a highly-motivated team to new heights. During this assignment, I upgraded to instructor pilot, evaluation pilot and mission commander with the 55th Fighter Squadron and served as Chief of Scheduling, Flight Commander and Assistant Director of Operations. Led Operation Noble Eagle missions (homeland defense) and deployed to Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabia (Operation Southern Watch) and Incirlik Air Base, Turkey (Operation Northern Watch) enforcing the no-fly zones over Iraq.
