• Developed ultrasonic scanning system to enable both cure monitoring and defect detection for composites during cure in the extreme environment of an autoclave• Conducted ultrasonic c-scans to research attenuance in different materials• Laid-up composite defect panels for ultrasonic attenuance testing• Created and used FEA models to develop insulation system for pressure and temperature resistance
