Projects include: creating a job-board web app using Django (Python), modifying a data dashboard to meet standards for ADA and WCAG compliance, and creating a virtual business card platform to be used by nearly 100 individuals at Davidson College's annual Women’s Leadership Conference.

Through a combination of technical topics in interface design and development such as usability, coding in HTML, CSS, Javascript and jQuery, as well as readings and discussions around net-based artworks and historical and cultural concerns surrounding the internet as a communication platform.

Evaluating the Accuracy and Coverage Performance of Collaborative Filtering, Content- based, and Hybrid Recommender SystemsThis products of this project were co-authored by myself and two other students as part of our final for the Recommender Systems Research course that we took in the spring of 2022. Throughout the course we learned about various types of recommender systems and for our final we compared the built a Machine learning model, in Python, and compared the performance of collaborative filtering recommendation algorithms, content-based recommendation algorithms, and Hybrid Recommendation algorithms on the models accuracy and coverage when applied to the ML100K dataset.

Recipient of a full scholarship to the NHLBI funded Boston University Summer Institute for Research Education in Biostatistics (Summer 2021). The program modules were in biostatistics, epidemiology, clinical trials, statistical genetics, infectious disease modeling and training in SAS and R. A major component of the program was data analysis, using SAS and R, of data collected from the Framingham Heart Study and Jackson Heart Study. The computing component included generating descriptive statistics, analysis of variance, chi-square tests, multiple linear and logistic regression analysis.

Relaunched the Community Research Fellows program at Davidson college, writing a community needs assessment as an update to the one done ten+ years prior. Additionally we constructed a data dashboard in R, and created a library guide using data about North Mecklenburg that we obtained from residents and organizational leaders in the area through focus groups, structured interviews, and surveys. These products are meant to help inform and guide future endeavors to create lasting changes in the North Mecklenburg community.
