CourseCareers is an e-learning sales program that provides all the necessary knowledge on the complete sales development process and the responsibilities that are taken on as an SDR. This 4 month program taught the psychological side of sales, prospecting, cold calling/emailing, SPIN selling, CRM platforms, and how to accelerate in tech sales.

My main focus at my job is to help run the restaurant as smoothly as possible. I'm essentially the "quarterback" for the restaurant. I am the first face they see when they walk through the doors and leaving a good first impression when they walk in. This job teaches me how to interact with people help them with questions they have and answer them in the most helpful way possible. I have many different tasks that require me to be in different places of the restaurant. I must greet the customers, assign them a table that is conveniant for the server and the guest while also catering to larger parties and reservations. I must have a plan and stay calm when there is a complication. Secondly I also answer phone calls for reservations and to go orders. I must be able to complete these to go orders on the computer with maximum efficiency which required studying the computer program outside of work. I must be able to answer any questions about their food choice and give a time estimate of when they will be ready. Part of taking the to go's, I must bag them as well and know which plates match with the order. I must have them ready to go by the time the customer gets there. Also one of my own personal tasks would to be to pitch customers on new drinks or items on the menu. All of these three tasks have taught me great time management skills, communication and customer service which pairs greatly with my goal of breaking into IT sales

As a shuttle driver/lot porter my roles were to examine every car that came through service, looking for possible damage as well as cleaning the car to please the customer. All of my tasks were done with no supervision allowing me to be self-motivated and sufficient, also retrieving the car and pull it up for the customer and give them a brief overview of the service done to the car as well as any recommendations that iIthought were fit. Shuttle driving was a independent role of picking up or dropping off customers, this helped be gain more customer experience as well as giving me the opportunity to help hold meaningful conversations with the customer. Answering any questions that they may have while making them feel safe when transporting them. I believe this job helped me become self-sufficient and helped me learn to work on my own time and be a valuable asset to the company while gaining customer experience with minor improvements in sales experience.
