• Developed an interactive, R Shiny application for prototyping the use of various parameter estimation algorithms applied to compartmental models of epidemics
• Refactored an interactive R Shiny application, reducing complexity to 1/3 of its previous estimation, and simplifying code by 600 lines with no loss of function, and with 5 new features, re-modularizing application.
• Refactored a separate, spatial epidemic data analysis application with similar effectiveness
• Planned, designed, and implemented new features requested by supervising statistician
• Documented software architecture for future developer on-boarding
• Mentored 2 junior software developers in R programming and data analysis, assisting with numerous merges and reviewed all pull requests for 1 month before permitting direct repository access
