• Led a team of 6 with programming the gauge cluster, dashboard and backup camera of two generations of solar cars, through delegating work and resolving disputes amongst team members, developing a passion for the mentoring and technical coaching of members• Designed and implemented the overall UX design of Schulich Helios’ gauge cluster, through eliciting requirements from team members and vehicle drivers, prototyping with Figma, and coding graphics with QT Creator, demonstrating knowledge of the software development process and industry tool sets, as well as software structures/architectures/design patterns• Directed efforts to create a custom Linux distribution (by using the Yocto Project) specifically for the solar car, in an effort to optimize power consumption as well to imitate OS’s seen in modern vehicles• Communicated with other sub teams (such as the mechanical team, electrical team, business, etc.) to elicit requirements for the Visual Communications team, provide requirements of our own, and keep them updated on the current progress and state of the Visual Communications team• Documented procedures, tutorials, software architecture and other information in Confluence• Performed all related Solar Car work within a Linux virtual machine (VMWare), and demonstrated ability with the Linux operating system• Planned and participated in team-wide events that were either to build team culture/camaraderie, or to promote the Solar Car team to the public

• Developed features in C++ for GeoStudio, a geo-engineering software that would be in users’ hands. This includes creating and editing MFC dialogs, working with license management (Software as a Service, SaaS), localizing the application in 6 languages, and upgrading/downgrading files from different versions of GeoStudio• Wrote unit, integration and UI tests for GeoStudio, understanding and advocating for test-driven development. Helped create the new framework GEOSLOPE uses to create automated UI tests from scratch with WinAppDriver (WAD) in C#, and helped with transitioning the test suite framework from Squish to WAD• Obtained DevOps experience with modern CI/CD tools and techniques through creating pipelines with Azure Pipelines, using YAML scripts, and Microsoft-hosted and self-hosted build agents. Also monitored pipelines for build failures through daily build triages• Created, wrote and documented new scripts that increased productivity and/or quality-of-life for programmers and non-programmers alike (ex. Abstracted complicated and lesser-known git features – worktrees and submodules) in PowerShell, command line, OneNote and Confluence• Worked within a team of 7, following an agile methodology, Scrum, which included daily stand-ups, using Azure DevOps, sprint planning and sprint retrospectives, eventually resulting in being a scrum master for 2 months• Created and performed code reviews daily on GitHub• Interacted with a wide variety of people with different areas of majors, such as engineering, geoscience, computer science, in addition to working with an international team across the world, including Quebec, Saskatchewan, Central America, Germany, New Zealand, and more closely, Ukraine with a GEOSLOPE exclusive team
