Spacecraft Configuration Lead - responsible for coordinating, communicating and maintaining an understanding of the NASA Orion Spacecraft configuration, including state of approved program changes and state of incorporation into the vehicle. Mechanical Integration Lead for Orion Integrated Spacecraft - delegate Spacecraft CPE; EMRB Certification. Team responsibilities include: coordinating and integrating elements of spacecraft to ground ops and launch vehicle, Mechanical Interface Control Documents, integrated spacecraft top-level assembly drawings, integrated spacecraft critical alignment tolerances through all mission phases, interface compatibility analysis, spacecraft level integration of special issues/topics. Support other program special assignments such as special topics for Chief Design Engineer and Chief Systems Engineer, spacecraft cargo assessments, and spacecraft operations and extensibility assessments in support of Business Development.

Service Module Systems Design Lead Configurator/ Co-configurator. Responsible for overall system design integration and configuration of all sub-systems within the service module. Lead multiple vehicle level configuration trades, analyses, optimization, and coordination among all sub-systems and other disciplines. Work with NASA customer, sub-system leads and sub-contractors to coordinate system design.

Perform structural/mechanical design engineering in support of NASA's Concept Exploration and Refinement CA-1, Lunar Architecture Study contract. Tasks included conceptual development and layout of Lunar Surface Access Module (LSAM) using PRO-E, 3-D CAD modeling, as well as trade studies of LSAM concepts using NASA Exploration Systems Mission Directorate defined Figures of Merit. Also created PRO-E model of a conceptual lunar robotic global exploration rover. Created a PRO-E conceptual design of an In-Situ Resource Utilization (ISRU) robotic lunar lander, to produce oxygen from lunar regolith, in conjunction with Lockheed Martin Civil Space, and Dr. Michael Duke of the Colorado School of Mines. Created an animated presentation of the ISRU robotic lander. Worked with artists and producer to use PRO-E generated models of LSAM, ISRU robotic lander, and other components, in Lockheed Martin produced short movie presented to NASA, titled “Odessa XI.” Served as a subject matter expert in helping to define the technical content, and reviewing the script of the short movie production. Perform payload integration work, and support commercial launch opportunities for the Athena launch vehicle. Provide Athena program Launch Vehicle support. Perform documentation and presentations of engineering endeavors.
