General Tool Company is a contract machine shop, which performs jobs and creates parts for a variety of customers, mainly specializing in making parts for the Defense and Aerospace industries. My job is to work with the customer to understand exactly what their needs are, and then to create a plan and instructions for how to manufacture the requested part. I try to find the best manufacturing solution so that we can provide a quality part at the lowest cost.

During my time at Niche Boats, our goal was to dream up an innovative and niche market boat that met several goals laid out from the beginning:1) It must light enough to not require a truck to tow, but can instead be towed by an average passenger car.2) It will be sold as the pontoons only, and the completed boat should be easy enough to assemble by the average person with limited carpentry skills.With these goals in mind, I led the research and design of our first boat from conception to completion, and engineered it to withstand the desired strength and flotation requirements. I also participated in all stages of manufacturing, including plug and mold making, gel coat application, fiberglass laying, and polyurethane resin application.

Set up test rigs designed to measure wake profiles, then acquired and processed data relevant to the requests of the client.
