Beginning my career as a Security Officer in the San Francisco Bay Area, I dedicated my time and efforts to a multitude of different accounts, including but not limited to shopping malls, corporate and commercial real estate, residential homes, construction sites, manufacturing plants, and healthcare facilities. Pursuing my dreams of becoming a Police Officer, I earned the rank of Captain of Security, where I managed a privatized housing authority team in the Bayview Hunter’s Point district of San Francisco. While leading this team, I also attended a police academy in San Jose and graduated with honors in 2012. Following graduation, I became one of the top candidates for a local Sheriff’s Department and received the job offer of my dreams as a Deputy Sheriff. As much as I wanted to accept this job, I was simultaneously offered the position of Director of Security and felt that if I departed, there would be too many unfinished projects left in Hunter’s Point. Therefore, I spent the next six and a half years of my career directing the same housing authority team and improving the health and vibrancy of the Hunter’s Point community. During this time, we significantly enhanced community involvement and trust and decreased the crime rate by 70%, and the homicide rate by 83%. Because of our success, my portfolio expanded to include all criminally challenged properties across the United States, where I also lowered crime rates and salvaged other properties nearing shutdown.With over 18 years of experience in the private security industry, equally on both the client and service provider side of the spectrum, I have established a thorough understanding of client expectations and what it truly takes to succeed as a security service provider.
