The Instructional Technology Specialist reports to the Assistant Provost for Faculty Affairs and provides support to the Division of Academic Affairs with regard to the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS). Such support includes, but is not limited to, technical support and training for faculty, staff, and students utilizing Canvas and the functionality of Canvas and related tools; Help Desk tutorials; student orientation to Canvas; assisting with research regarding new technologies related to learning management systems; and customer service to a variety of entities on and off campus. I also have the opportunity to serve as the administrator over our course evaluation software (Watermark Course Evaluations & Surveys | formerly EvaluationKIT). CES Admin responsibilities include set up and management of the survey each semester and providing technical support and training for faculty and students.

I am a student worker for SUU's Office of Online Teaching and Learning. My responsibilities include troubleshooting and fixing issues, answer questions, teach students and professors how to use the tools we support, and assist in writing and recording tutorial videos/ guides. The tools we use are mainly connected to Canvas and it's many LTI's, but also includes Zoom. Some of my specialized projects have been writing automation scripts using Python.
