As a soccer operations intern, I work as one of the administrators that carry out various tasks for club directors. Inventorying and distributing equipment to soccer coaches, managing the rosters and communication lists of teams, and assisting in the gameday operations for the semi-pro team games each weekend as some of the recurring tasks I oversee. Additional administrative tasks as assigned by club directors are also carried out.

Each intramural sports competition operates under the direction of Games Manager. Major responsibilities include enforcing university rules and policies with players, coaches, and officials, encouraging good sportsmanship, ensuring player and spectator safety, and facilitating a wholesome playing environment for all participants. Officiating games and competitions are not done by Games Managers, but they are responsible for working with officials as part of managing the game they oversee. Overall responsibility for how games and competitions turn out rests with the Games Manager.
