Bryce is an LA based startup investor and entrepreneur with many exits throughout his career. He was the protégé of early West Coast VC, David Goodman, whose philosophy was that successful financial outcomes require an investment of “time” as well as money, and that invested time is rewarded with equity commensurate with its value. Bryce adopted that philosophy and has held roles as CFO, COO, CEO, Chairman, Board Member or Senior Advisor as well as investor. In the 90’s, he served as COO of Brandon International, a component manufacturer, where he was instrumental in the sale of its Clean Room Division to Chemtronics, Inc. He was an investor and Board Member for IntelliChoice, Inc., an auto information company, until it was acquired by Primedia, Inc. In the early dot.com era, Bryce served as Chairman of MyCarPage.com, an ASP of CRM tools for car dealers, until the company was purchased in a management buyout. He also served on the Board of Strategic Data Corporation, an early ad server company which was acquired by Fox Interactive Media. In the early 2000’s, Bryce was the first investor, Founding CEO and Chairman of Language Weaver, Inc. (LW). LW became the world’s leading provider of statistical-based language translation software and was acquired by SDL, Plc. After LW, Bryce was invited to become the CEO in Residence at the USC Marshall School of Business where he taught entrepreneurship for two years. He then became the Senior Advisor for Prospective Payment Specialists (PPS), a hospital revenue cycle services business. He played an active role in the tremendous growth in PPS’s revenue and profitability which resulted in its acquisition by Bolder Healthcare Solutions. Bryce was also Chairman of CipherPoint Software, Inc., a provider of cybersecurity solutions, and led the Board until the Company was acquired by Covata, Ltd. In 2018, he became Senior Advisor for Specifio, Inc., a pioneer in the field of automated patent drafting, and continued in that role until Specifio’s assets were acquired by Paximal, Inc. in January 2024. Bryce attributes his success to being a good listener, motivator, strategic and operational strategist, leader and advisor coupled with an uncanny attention to detail and an ever-present sense of humor. He remains on the lookout for ambitious entrepreneurs with sound business opportunities that can materially benefit from his investment of time, experience and money. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Madison and received a Master in Business Administration with Distinction from the Harvard Business School.
