Here's what I think:My favorite aspect of design is process, and not just mine. Sitting in a cube thinking by yourself can be boring. Turning yourself off from the world, putting your headphones on and squinting at your monitor is a great way to speed through the task at hand, but not to create. What works is discussion, brainstorming, bouncing ideas off of one another, fostering each other's creative development. Drawing up anything and everything. Considering whether you even have the right problem before you jump to conclusions about a solution.Great ideas come from interaction most of the time - being stuck inside your own head and staring at a blank sheet of paper until you feel creative is hardly an efficient, innovative, or fun way to get things accomplished.I love the team atmosphere. Whether I'm quietly listening and sketching, leading a discussion, or just talking through someone else's design problems - that's where I thrive, and that's how I want to design. Forever. I've been fortunate enough to work in very open offices thus far that encourage interaction, and a tight-knit studio at school helped me to realize this passion. My goal? To do this for the rest of my career.Specialties: Researching, planning, sketching, drafting, rendering, working together (with everybody) to foster innovative design solutions.
