I was responsible for the Navantis User Interface division, managing developers and coordinating their schedules. I was actively involved with the creation of strategies that we pitch to clients, bringing to the table the skills that I have acquired. I communicated with clients and vendors to ensure that projects progress smoothly. I trained junior developers in the best practices that I have learned. My duties also included interface and navigation layout, information architecture, usability and accessibility consulting, project management, as well as the design and production of Content Management and Knowledge management systems.CAREER HIGHLIGHT: I designed the online library for the Canadian National institute for the Blind, a project selected as a winner in the 2003 Microsoft Certified Partner Awards - Collaborative Solution of the Year.CAREER HIGHLIGHT: I was a member of the Program Advisory committee for Sheridan College’s “Communications, Culture and Information Technology” program in 2008.CAREER HIGHLIGHT: In 1999 I joined a small Microsoft partner as Designer #1 and Employee #4. When I left that partner to join Microsoft I had built a practice and team of a dozen interface developers, designers and business analysts across their Toronto, Canada and Colombo, Sri Lanka offices.
