I graduated from the College of Charleston in May 2015 with an English Artium Baccalaureatus degree, the oldest degree offered by the College. My degree accurately reflects my enthusiasm for Literature, the Latin language, and the Classics. I grew up in in the northern suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, and, upon graduating from college, accepted a teaching position at my former High School in Gwinnett County. I taught Language Arts, AP Seminar, and AP Literature & Composition for five and a half years before coming to work at Edpuzzle. Edpuzzle provides me the opportunity to continue teaching but expand my influence to teachers and students around the world through the creation of "Edpuzzle Originals," standards-aligned original video lessons that teach English Language Arts content while assessing student understanding through skills-based open-ended and multiple choices questions. In June of 2021, my husband and I moved to Dallas, Texas, for his work. I am an avid reader of both fiction and nonfiction, a media enthusiast (a fancy way to say I watch a lot of tv), boy mom (of two cats and a German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix), and an amateur cook, gardener, and furniture/house renovator. I'm a tea, coffee, and overall drink/food snob, and things you'll never hear me complaining about having too much of include chips and salsa, sunshine, Lego, puns, and Cricut crafts.
Listed skills include Public Speaking, Academic Advising, Writing, Interpersonal Communication, and 11 others.
