Performed geological logging tasks on drill ship and semi-sub rigs in the Gulf of Mexico, jack-up rigs off the Louisiana coast, as well as land rigs in the southern Texas area. Primary job is monitoring and maintaining primary well control and vigilant contact with Company Man, Driller or AD, Derrickman, and Geologist. Some other important tasks include strong knowledge in the concept of Geoservices’ equipment and techniques, lag time calculation, mud logging geology, sampling of cuttings, master log overview and drafting, basic knowledge of drilling fluids, hydrocarbon detection and analysis, understanding the drilling processes, knowledge of sensor parameters their acquisition and treatment, real time monitoring of the well, unit maintenance, H2S awareness and detection, and understanding individual rig site safety.
