As a Community Services Professional I provide individualized support to people of varying ages throughout the Capital District, in the person's private home, or out in the community. I am making a difference for children and adults with disabilities. I provide the necessary support to the individual, while providing learning opportunities to support their goal to achieve independence. I am humbled and honored to uphold the mission of the Center for Disability Services of "helping people get better at life."

For the past two years I have held the Crew Captain position on my Love Your Melon Campus Crew. While putting smiles on the faces of children, I am making an impact on our campus, in the community, and most importantly, in the fight against pediatric cancer. During my tenure as Crew Captain I was in charge of the LYM Campus Crew at my college. My responsibilities include reviewing and managing the conduct of Crew Members, appropriately representing Love Your Melon, overseeing and carrying out all on-campus nonprofit events, leading weekly or bi-weekly meetings, providing updates about Love Your Melon and the Crew Program to Crew Members and communicating with the Campus Coordinator for general information and new changes. Each year, the College of Saint Rose LYM Campus Crew has new opportunities to supporting children battling cancer. Cancer Crew Members have the opportunity to visit children in hospitals, support facilities, and host Superhero Adventures. These therapeutic experiences have an incredible impact on the lives of children during and after treatment. Campus Crew Members are the driving force behind Love Your Melon.
