A hardworking and passionate individual with strong organisational skills due to various roles across different industries. My early years of employment involved working within the hospitality, entertainment and retail industries where I was able to develop a sense of connection with patrons and customers. These roles involved catering to requests, adhering to OH&S requirements in order to provide quality customer service and a seamless experience.During the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 I joined the medical industry, starting as a medical receptionist which motivated me to constantly adapt to the ever-changing rules and regulations. I also undertook 40 weeks of full time placement with Australian Clinical Laboratories in Ballarat as part of my Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Laboratory Medicine) and continued to work for the company for the duration of my studies. Upon the completion of my degree, I began working as a Medical Laboratory Scientist for Dorevitch Pathology within both Sunshine and Footscray Hospital. Working with two major hospitals in both the Haematology and Blood Bank departments, I was able to establish my ability to prioritise tasks with competing demands and communicate with many healthcare professionals. As someone with a passion for helping people within the community, particularly those navigating the healthcare system, opportunities where I am able to incorporate my communication skills and ability to problem solve is where I truly thrive.
