However I also had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects ranging from apps, wearables, medical products and sand sculpture foundation plans.Some generalized duties I carried out here were:• Engineered products, solving for user interaction, aesthetics, function, marketing, durability, serviceability, cost, assembly, safety and marketing.• Practiced general design considerations, particularly regarding aesthetics, materials, user interaction, ergonomics, PCB considerations, manufacturing processes, and function driven designs.• Worked through all stages of projects, from initial client meetings through to post production support.• Working independently for a year, with remote guidance from a senior designer.• Expanded my CAD expertise through extensive use of Adobe CC (Ps and Ai), Keyshot and Solidworks.• Created prototypes for testing and presentations.• Created analytical documents making recommendations for prototypes, production, and design solutions.• Positively liaised with manufacturers to achieve clients desired results.As well as designing a wealth of hard good products I also designed numerous digital products. This involved:• Creating concepts from a brief to help define the product specifications.• Creating user interface story boards demonstrating user work flows and design.• Generating all the necessary artwork files to release for development.• Generating renderings of the final product for management approval, marketing, and quality assurance.
