This position involved running antenatal and postnatal clinics in both Broken Hill and Wilcannia. I took education classes for pregnancy, labour and birth, breastfeeding and parenting of newborns. I also gave immunisations for both mothers and babies and postnatal women's health checks. I trained as a registered (SA) PAP smear taker.

I worked as a core midwife at PNMU for about 2 years. I returned to full Midwifery practice late 2007. Prior to that time I had worked for about 10 years as a Community Midwife.

I had worked as a Community Midwife since 1997. The position involved visiting women in their homes for up to 6 weeks postpartum. In 2007 I began working as a core midwife at Palmerston North Maternity Unit in order to concentrate on returning to full midwifery practice.

I trained as a person centered & Narrative Counselor and subsequently set up my own counseling practice.
