The chief investigator was also responsible for the supervision of the project’s PhD students. The system and infrastructure development that occurred during this project allowed development in a number of areas including deployment of the content management system, subsequent design of multiple output formats from this system and integration with clinical software systems.One of this project’s significant outcomes was development of SISMO, a production system that is currently in ongoing use and development at TGL and NPS (see above).The development technologies used in this project have included system development using UML, multi-tier database application system development and multiple application interfacing using COM. The outputs produced by the content management system utilise web technologies including XML, XSL, XSL-FO, XSLT and JavaScript.As a member of the academic staff of the Department of Computer Science and Computer Engineering, contribute to the research program of the department through post graduate supervision and occasional lecturing.
