In this role I have achieved significant milestones and made a notable impact in policy development.-Alongside the European Space Agency, and UK Department for Energy Security, I have fed into policy work on space based solar power and the formation of a European energy alliance.-Designed and launched a major national community organising initiative in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire: redesigning and piloting a new approach to local organising in small, left behind towns.-Ran a… Show more In this role I have achieved significant milestones and made a notable impact in policy development.-Alongside the European Space Agency, and UK Department for Energy Security, I have fed into policy work on space based solar power and the formation of a European energy alliance.-Designed and launched a major national community organising initiative in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire: redesigning and piloting a new approach to local organising in small, left behind towns.-Ran a highly successful campaign to make industrial strategy a top political issue, with a unique vision of placebased industrial strategy which has been influential on the development of the so-called “New Washington Consensus.” Our goal of an energy transition based on zero carbon industry that revitalises post-industrial areas and promotes job creation has garnered widespread support across political divisions on both sides of the Atlantic.-Additionally, I have played a crucial role in emphasising the importance of technology and future industries as guiding principles for the UK's development. -Furthermore, I have led the way in championing the potential of space industries and their significance in driving growth & development as a motor for "levelling up". By positioning this sector as a key policy area, I highlighted the vast opportunities it offers for the UK’s progress.-In addition to my policy advocacy, I have pioneered local leadership development. Through trainings, I have equipped hundreds of local leaders in the field of placebased organising and run a series of campaigns in some of the most deprived towns in the UK, successfully empowering people and places while influencing the law to protect tenants from issues like dampness & mould.Overall, my achievements in advancing industrial strategy, shaping political discourse, and advocating for crucial policy issues demonstrate my ability to enact meaningful change & contribute to the betterment and renewal of our society.
