Designed and lectured a 25-student undergraduate course on terrorism, international security, the link between socio-economic situation, online radicalisation and security issues in the 21st century with a focus on Europe, Middle East and Africa. Module lectured every third term. Supervision of over 10 undergraduate students on their final dissertations and provided guidance on topic, approach, and research methods (both qualitative and quantitative).

Provided communications and partnership support to the Office of the Rights of the Child and Sports. Designed short and longterm communications goals on Human Rights and Sports, drafted messaging and liaison with research partners and other organisations. Executed digital communications for the Children Rights Mid-term Evaluation Conference in November 2019, with over 350 policy makers and practitioners in attendance.

Kabul, Afghanistan

Civilian specialist working for the NATO armed forces in Afghanistan. Engaged with all 29 NATO forces, including senior NATO leadership and Afghan officials and army throughout the mission. Represented NATO at external engagements. Advised Afghan governmental bodies and developed strategic messaging on peace, electoral and defence issues. Managed strategic communications planning of NATO and directed synchronising communications between NATO, UNAMA and UNDP, USAID, and major embassies in Kabul.

Managed fundraising outreach and information campaigns, all digital communications, and publications for UN Women National Committee in Iceland. Developing fundraising ideas from initial brainstorm to execution on digital and traditional media. Private and public donor relationship and stakeholder management.

Responsible for UNICEF’s fundraising campaigns, social media presence, and developing marketing material on humanitarian affairs and crises affecting children across the globe. Implementing the UN Sustainable Development Goals into UNICEFs communications strategy. Oversaw the design and launch of a new UNICEF website, and was instrumental in awareness campaigns making UNICEF Iceland's best known charity (according to Gallup 2015).

Hosted and produced a current affairs radio show aired on Rás 2 (Radio 2), 6:45-9:00 every morning of the working week. The program provided detailed interviews and analysis of current affairs, political, economic, cultural and international. I interviewed politicians, academics, artists and got inputs from our foreign correspondents. I planned the show; chose material, booked and scheduled interviewees, provided background research and prepared interviews. Material from the broadcast was then made available for podcasts and digital platforms.
