As a floor manager for New Holland Brewing Company I have gained experience managing the floor of our Grand Rapids location having multiple teams of bartenders, servers, and support staff that I coordinate on a daily basis. I have also been given the responsibility of Training and Development company wide where I coordinate and build resources for our various locations to use while going through the training process for new hires. I also do all of the hiring at our Grand Rapids location to build strong effective teams. Another focus of mine for the last year has been managing the bar and gaining valuable experience creating craft cocktails and interacting with guests to provide high quality service around the bar. This role has expanded my sales skills as well as my knowledge in beer through becoming a Level 1 Cicerone and attending trade shows to represent the company and coordinate sales team members.

As an 8th Grade Math teacher I have gained the teaching skills necessary to teach a core curriculum subject to a large student body. Managing a classroom with a diverse student population has allowed me to bring my multicultural experiences to the classroom. Being able to relate to and educate my students effectively has given me the skills needed to be the best educator I could possibly be.
