Bioelectrical impedance analysis was also used to assess body composition. With the help of site resources and a K'iche interpreter, we ensured the comfort and safety of all study participants. Everyone was provided personalized nutrition counseling following their screenings. Then, statistical analyses were conducted to interpret the findings via written reports and visual figures. Finally, results and recommendations were presented in Spanish to the community leaders, health care directors, and clinicians on-site. Findings will contribute to a larger public health discussion aimed at answering the question of what is happening to the health of Guatemalan adults with age, and why. Show less
