I provided administrative and operational support to two busy surgeon's expanding practices, while improving and maintaining practice function. My primary focus was to ensure high-quality patient satisfaction through data-driven initiatives and process improvement.

I provided administrative support to 7 clinicians in the Psychiatry Department. I marketed and coordinated for several practices, including: The Charles O'Brien Treatment Center; The Center for Couples and Adult Families; Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation; The Penn Professionalism Program; the Comprehensive Consultation Service for Traumatic Brain Injury; and the Center for Weight and Eating Disorders. The practices are primarily self-pay with the opportunity for patients to seek reimbursement from insurance companies directly. I implemented new practice standards by creating new-patient intake protocol. I assisted upper management in detecting practice concerns and assessing risk to help implement new policies. This role is heavily patient-client facing, while it also demands working directly with 7 providers/doctors. I assisted the practice/department in maintaining a strong patient/customer focus, support the delivery of highest quality care, share a passion for patient and customer-centered care, and assist in meeting or exceeding patient satisfaction and financial and operational targets. I was responsible for the arrival and/or departure activities of patients in the practice, managing and handling patient calls and inquiries, coordinating patient appointments, updating patient insurance/billing information, and performing point of service activities.

Collaborate with both Clinical Assistant Staff and Business Support Staff, including case managers, proofreaders, front office coordinator, and office manager, in the context of a vocational expert's office. Responsibilities included sorting/reviewing medical files, create deposition summaries, re-score psychological testing, transcribe and proofread expert reports, provide telephone coverage, and performing general office duties as needed.
