I am a senior corporate counsel in the cloud services team of the Oracle commercial legal group. I provide, prompt, creative, pragmatic counsel to Oracle's cloud based business teams regarding contract terms and conditions and commercial negotiations. This involves assisting business teams with understanding the real world impact of proposed commercial terms, seeking creative solutions to legal and business issues and helping preserve deal momentum.I also counsel business teams as they define the scope of cloud offerings and the associated legal terms, including those relating to intellectual property and privacy and security. I listen to decision-makers and help them determine how existing business offerings can be translated to a cloud business model. I also assist with post-contracting disputes and dispute resolution.

I provide quick, pragmatic legal counsel regarding general corporate, securities and other transactional matters, including technology licensing, services agreements, mergers and acquisitions, private placements, venture capital investments, joint venture structuring and negotiation and strategic transactions. I routinely counsel companies regarding their day to day legal issues and their strategic goals and initiatives. I have deep experience managing deal and project teams to specific deadlines and deliverables, integrating legal and business efforts in an efficient and effective manner and helping companies develop creative legal solutions.Our office is the leading legal counsel in the Rocky Mountain region for venture capital financings and represents a number of Rocky Mountain venture funds, venture-backed companies and public companies.I counsel companies operating in a variety of industries, including clean technology, software and internet, consumer products, communications, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and life sciences, and medical devices. I also regularly represent venture investors in financing and restructuring transactions.
