Having learnt to sail at the age of six, I started my sailing career racing dinghies around the UK, and have been following my passion ever since. Instructing started early with teaching the youth academy at my local club, and later progressed to adult courses, where I take people from Novice through to fully competent Yachtsmen and women. I am a highly ambitious and competitive yacht racer, from Sports Boats to Yachts both inshore and offshore. I strive to learn something new and improve my sailing each time I leave the dock. I enjoy taking on what Mother Nature throws at me out on the open ocean, and relish any opportunity to be out there – I am in my element in challenging conditions. I am a full-time Yacht Skipper / Instructor, with over 3 years Industry experience. My work experience comprises time with charter companies based in the South of England, as well as a freelance delivery Skipper around the British Isles. My current position is with Eastsail, based on beautiful Sydney Harbour, Australia. My key responsibilities include running the Eastsail RYA sailing school, Instructing on RYA courses, Skipper for corporate events, as well as ad hoc dock and maintenance work.
