A proud Welsh Woman, sharing her passion and enthusiasm for the outdoors to inspire educators in Wales to take learning into the outdoors.With a wealth of experience as a Secondary School Geography Teacher and being an Outdoor Instructor, I am able to bring these skills together to support teachers to use nature and the outdoors to enhance the curriculum and offer invaluable experiences to learners. As co-ordinator of Pembrokeshire Outdoor School I connect local and national organisations with the schools to offer support in many different ways to make learning experiences in the outdoors possible. Projects include developing outdoor curriculums for schools, creating bespoke trips in line with curriculum themes and topics, enhancing school grounds in sustainable ways, including re-wilding/meadows projects, introducing bees, farming projects, bushcraft and fire craft. The organisations involved in the partnership include the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, which host the role, Natural Resource Wales, National Trust, Darwin Experience, Sport Pembrokeshire, Keep Wales Tidy, Pembrokeshire Coastal Forum, Pembrokeshire Marine Conservation, Public Health Wales, Play Wales, Sustainable Schools, Eco-Schools, Tir Coed as well as an array of local authority advisors and headteachers.
