I specialize in topics about birding culture, sustainability and experience of nature as a woman (and sometimes as a parent). I am most interested in the economic impact of consumer choice as it affects wild bird conservation, and pursue stories with this angle in mind. As examples, I cover conscientious consumerism, ecotourism and profiles of the people involved, to springboard bird conservation initiative among readers for lifestyle choice.I write for publications such as The Seattle Times, National Audubon, American Birding Association's Birding magazine, Rova Magazine, She-Explores, American Bird Conservancy and Bird Watcher's Digest. I lecture on topics I cover to both live and remote audiences, including university classes, birding festivals and nonprofit organizations.I speak as a guest on various podcasts including the American Birding podcast, Ray Brown's Talkin' Birds radio, Your Bird Story and Colombia Calling, sharing the experience of birding culture and women in birding.

During my time with the Polyclinic in this role, the practice tripled in size.Tasks included: * Project Coordination: Service line business planning and development, physician and executive on-boarding, staff training, events planning, facility moves, travel arrangements, tenant improvements, internal communications and site management support of assigned projects.*Operations: Calendaring, finance, payroll, presentations, minutes-taking and other daily, monthly and quarterly tasks supporting clinic operations at the executive level.* Content Writing: Collaboration with marketing and content strategy team to produce original educational content for patient readers.
