I have been in Boy Scouts of American since the third grade and earned the rank of Eagle Scout this past summer. One thing that Boy Scouts has instilled in me is service based leadership. Everything we did as a troop, no matter what it was, was for the better good of our community and for Boy Scouts of America as an organization.During my time in Boy Scouts I engaged in several community service initiatives, including my own Eagle Scout project. My project was to replace the border in front of the Dottie Bridges Tennis Center of Flat Shoals Park in Decatur Georgia. I communicated with park officials DeKalb county representatives in a series of meetings to develop plans and logistics for the project. By completing my project I was able to resolve safety issues, make the environment more presentable, and serve the DeKalb community through service based leadership.Boy Scouts has built me up as a leader and as someone who values service above all else. During my time in Boy Scouts I was able to develop leadership skills, teamwork skills, survival skills, and communication skills.Boy Scouts has had a profound impact on the way I carry myself and I do my best to make the Scout Law the guiding light for the way I live my life.

As a Council of Presidents Intern, I work directly with the board of executive and together we serve as the governing body for all student organizations on North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University's campus.My job is to assist the executive board manage the student organizations on campus. I also help host various informational workshops for the student body.So far during this internship I have developed teamwork, leadership, and communication skills; and I plan to continue building on this skill set.

During my time working at Publix Super Markets I worked as a cashier and as a seafood clerk. I was able to develop customer service skills, conflict resolution skills, and communication skills in the workplace.
