Enabled cancer researchers to work more efficiently by having unique and valuable tools at their disposal.• This role was approximately 1/3 Data Science, 1/3 Product Management, and 1/3 Software Development.• Achieved well-above benchmark every year while contributing over $500,000 in projected value each year through innovative projects.• Actively sought out, proposed, initiated, developed, and/or drove to completion more than 10 distinct projects.• Acted as the principal developer on a complex multi-year project (STRATA) valued at over 3 million dollars that allowed molecular biologists to identify novel therapeutic targets. This application used a proprietary literature search machine learning algorithm and ranking system to find emerging genomic targets. Once targets were identified, an array of features were built into a bespoke front-end web application to better understand the specific target including visualizing molecular structure, interactions with other genes, cell localization, cancer hallmarks,RNA expression, mutations, survival curves, gene pathways, cell line dependency scores, commercially available inhibitors, related animal models, immune cell expression, indications, related drugs / biomarkers / patents, pharmacology, etc. This required considerable data aggregation from 15+ data sources, backend logic, and frontend design.• Was the sole developer of an internal software application enabling lab researchers to flexibly and accurately perform assay screenings which involved thousands of compounds / fragments, hundreds of assay plates, differing plate sizes, and multiple machine types and transfer points which proved logistically challenging without this tool. Calculations and visualizations were all automated.

• Performed deep dive statistical analysis for clients looking to glean deeper insights from their employee’s medical claims. Examples of projects include wellness program evaluations, ROI analyses, statistical comparison of outcomes related to use of onsite clinics, quantifying the impact of biometric screening tests on total medical cost, internal book of business reporting, projecting leaves of absence, predicting high cost claimants, etc.• Provided internal consultation for medical analysis best practices and statistical expertise.for both internal and external use.• Owned and managed large projects that spanned 6+ months. This included the analytic planning, contract negotiation, data ingestion, statistical analysis, visualization creation, deliverable QA checks, and client facing account management. Contracts were renewed for multiple years as a result of client satisfaction.• Proactively developed methodologies previously unknown and never implemented at the company. These included propensity score matching, forecasting techniques, machine learning algorithms, regression analyses, innovative internal reporting, etc.• Helped a client do an analysis which ultimately lead to them being recognized with a national healthcare award.• Developed and taught a recurring Data Science course to a team of Healthcare Analysts. Topics included programming in R and SQL, as well as topical discussions in Machine Learning and Statistics.
