During my time at the corporate office, I worked on the Financial Accounting team where I was responsible for updating expense data, organizing board and executive meeting materials, and formatting… Show more Summer of 2023 I was blessed with the opportunity to work as a Corporate Accounting and Finance Intern at PlayCore where I split my time between the corporate office in Chattanooga, TN and at the company's largest manufacturing facility, PlayCore Southern Fulfillment Center in Fort Payne, AL. During my time at the corporate office, I worked on the Financial Accounting team where I was responsible for updating expense data, organizing board and executive meeting materials, and formatting financial statements for 52 intercompany divisions. During my time at PlayCore's Southern Fulfillment Center, I worked closely with the Accounts Payable team where I was responsible for reconciling invoices with receiving information, entering new vendor data, and ensuring vendor documentation was properly filed. I also was able to help our Capital Expenditure team with documentation of PP&E. Some interesting projects I worked on during my internship include the transition of AP processes from paper to digital and using Microsoft Power Automate which utilized AI to pull vendor information from vendor invoices. Throughout my internship, I was able to build my interpersonal professional skills, gain experience in corporate accounting processes, and develop a problem-solving mindset suited for the ever-evolving world of business.
