I am currently a civil engineer at Akinaka & Associates in Honolulu, Hawaii. In addition to my ability to communicate and build relationships with others, with project experience ranging from hydraulic waterlines to highway design, I believe my skill set is diverse and expansive. I have many years of leadership experience from the lessons I’ve learned as an Eagle Scout, the numerous leadership positions I've held in my extracurricular activities, and the three class leadership course I've taken at the University of Portland. I felt civil engineering was the right major for me since I've always been a detail-oriented person and wanted a career that would challenge me, but also allow me to have fun while learning.
