I completed a research internship in Alon Friedman's neuroscience lab. I gained valuable experience in both animal handling and laboratory techniques to study rat models of epilepsy and traumatic brain injuries. I collaborated with many of the PhD students, working on projects including analysing spreading depolarisation and hypoxia in the brain following moderate TBI, examining behavioural changes and cortisol levels following mild TBI, and investigating the potential of the angiotensin receptor blocker losartan in reducing seizure frequency.
