Responsible for growing a team of 10 developers and providing help and oversight as necessary to a team of developers in a DevOps team.In early 2015 introduced the SCRUM development methodology and am currently working on its adoption within the company.Still provide architectural oversight for a number of products and services.

While in this role I developed our routing and load balancing system from scratch. This version ran in production for a number of years. I oversaw the development of subsequent versions of the routing and load balancing systems. During this time I helped to mature the company's development practices. I introduced revision control (SVN) and a peer review system. I introduced build servers and continuous integration. I have helped the adoption of unit testing within the company and advocate for TDD.I was responsible for the integration of our services with Kannel SMS Gateway running on Ubuntu servers with MySQL DBs for persistence.In 2011 I wrote our own implementation of the SMPP protocol in .Net. After this I wrote our own implementation of a SMPP client. Our SMPP client has been in production since 2011 and process millions of SMS messages every month at high speed. In early 2012 the SMPP protocol libary I developed was used in an implementation of an SMPP server which allows our clients to send SMS messages to us via SMPP.From 2012 I was involved in various projects at various levels for applications and services for our core backend to support the sending/receiving of SMS messages.Oversaw the development of our new pricing and balances services exposed using SOA methodologies and techniques. Also oversaw the development and redesign of our new web front end. This uses a Angular and ASP.Net WebAPI to create a responsive and engaging SPA front end.
